About the Word of God – God has revealed Himself to us through the Bible, the Word of God. The Word of God was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and foundational for living. It is inspired by God and is the truth without error.
About God – There is only one God who is to be worshiped. God is spirit and does not possess a bodily form. He has always existed. He created the universe and everything in it including human beings. God is present everywhere at the same time which distinguishes him from all other creatures. God is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in his being and has attributes such as wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness and love. There are three Persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These Persons are the triune God, one in Trinity, equal in power and glory.
About Jesus Christ – Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the second Person of the Trinity who is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead after three days demonstrating his power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday for believers and will reign supreme as the King of kings and Lord of lords.
About Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit is the third Person of Trinity who is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for salvation through Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides Christians with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. Christians seek to live under His control daily.
About Humanity - People are made in the image of God and are to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, humanity has been tainted by an attitude of disobedience toward God in thought, word and deed; this is called sin. Sin separates people from God and and prevents people from living the life that God created them to live.
About Salvation – Salvation is being reconciled with God through Jesus Christ. It is a free gift given to humanity. People cannot make up for their sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ through God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When a sinner confesses and repents of his or her sins, and profess faith in Jesus Christ, he or she are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his or her life by faith.
About Last things – Although there are many different interpretations of what will take place in the last days, three events are assured. One, Jesus Christ will return; two, there will be a resurrection of the body for those who have died in Christ; and three, there will be a great white throne of judgment. People were created to exist forever. They will either exist eternally separated from God because of sin, or live eternally with God as a result of salvation. To be eternally separated from God is to be in hell. To be eternally in union with God is to be in Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
